Club meetings September - December focus on preparing students 12-18 for NCFCA competition. Club meetings during the tournament season, January - April, focus on supporting students in-between competitions. For those who qualify, a Regional Championship is held in late April or early May, and a National Championship is held in June.
Families can compete in tournaments according to their goals for their students. Most families compete in 2-5 tournaments per season, and online and additional tournaments involving travel more than driving distance are also available. Families may choose to simply to come to club weekly, but we encourage families to consider at least some competition. We have learned that nothing substitutes for “iron sharpening iron” when the results count—students measurably improve.

Expressio Juniors
In 2025-2026, elementary age students have the opportunity to meet during our regular club times to learn about public speaking. We’ll play games, practice different types of speeches, learn some basic logic, and work through NCFCA’s Juniors Curriculum.
